INTERESTING INFO: From the Schreiner's 1958 Iris Lover's Catalogue: The tonal values of this vibrant fuschia-purple infused with bronze reminds one of a deeply resontant chord of pipe organ or bass viol. An immense Iris with serene, opulent form and candelabrum branching. The richness of its fuschia-purple tone is intensified by a generous margining of bronze infusion in the in the well-cupped taffeta standards. The lemon beard is inconspicuous. Antem has the dignity of Handel's Largo, the sumptuousness of of Brahms orchestration. Its characterful beauty grows on one like the swelling of a vibrant chord.
