INTERESTING INFO: From the Schreiner's 1958 Iris Lover's Catalogue: The tonal values of this vibrant fuschia-purple infused with bronze reminds one of a deeply resontant chord of pipe organ or bass viol. An immense Iris with serene, opulent form and candelabrum branching. The richness of its fuschia-purple tone is intensified by a generous margining of bronze infusion in the in the well-cupped taffeta standards. The lemon beard is inconspicuous. Antem has the dignity of Handel's Largo, the sumptuousness of Brahms orchestration. Its characterful beauty grows on one like the swelling of a vibrant chord.
