INTERESTING INFO: From the 1982 Schreiner's Iris Lovers Catalog: This blue amoena captures that evening charm of the San Francisco Bay area when the fog rolls in over the ocean. Its silvery-blue standards nicely compliment the richer deep blue falls. The full 6 inch florets display a translucent blueing effect, as if shining through a subdued sheer fabric. This soothing application of coloring, with no haft markings, is so smooth. The beard, a muted old gold, seems a distant light beacon. Very long bloom season, 8 buds on 3 branches.
