INTERESTING INFO: From the 1953 Schreiner's Iris Lovers Catalog: The dash and vibrancy of this deep colored plicata of richest petunia markings on white. It brings to the rich colored plicatas the brilliancy and clear cut features of such plicatas as Blue Shimmer.

INTERESTING INFO: Strangely, BRIGHT CONTRAST was not included with the rest of the 1953 introductions. It was, however, placed in the general listing of Iris, even though it had a price tag matching the rest of its introductory siblings.
