From the 1947 Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s Catalog: A sombre black plum purple in some ways recalling the coloring of Destiny. A lrage flowered dark iris with broad petals, quite impressive.

The large flowers are near perfection. Rated 91, and one of the two foreign iris to receive an Award of Merit from the American Iris Society last year.
