COVER: This cover features the iris PINK CAMEO introduced by Orville Fay in 1946. The catalog cover is very unique. Foremost, this is their first catalog to be sent from their Oregon residence. The logo they used for their company name is unique and has never been duplicated in any catalog (perhaps in 1948, but until one surfaces I'll assume it hasn't.) It is also most likely their first color catalog, unlike previous years, which were in black and white. Mike Unser, the person who sent me the picture of the cover stated it looks very similar to some of the Jean Stevens Iris Catalogs, which are from New Zealand.
ABOUT: This catalog photo was a donation, so I do not know the actual details of this particular catalog. It most likely would have been the first of the catalog types ranging from 1949 to the early 1960s, with catalog being on letter sized paper (8.5" X 11").
