ABOUT: Several of the pages offer information on how to make Iris the spotlight of your garden, offering photographs from various gardens of how people make use of Iris in their home. The are also several pictures of floral arrangements, like the one of the front cover, of Irises by Carl Starker. Median Irises are absent in this catalog, although the Schreiner ones appear in the general listing.

           * Officially these two introductions do not appear anywhere in the catalog, although a representative from Schreiner's indicates that they are 1950 introductions. They do not appear in any Schreiner's Iris catalog until 1953, but in the general listing and not with the rest of the 1953 introductions. Interestingly enough as well, Black Mischief and Galatea also do not appear with the rest of the 1953 introductions, but in the general listing as well. Their prices are also significantly lower than the ones on the new introductions page.
