COVER: The 1958 Schreiner introduction of 'Whir of Lace' is featured in a flower arrangement by Carl Starker.
ABOUT: Typical of the 1950s catalogs.
GREETING: This year we celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the founding of Schreiner's Gardens by our father, the late F.X. Schreiner, a dedicated horticulturalist. Throughout the years we ahve tried to make ours "a business with a conscience," devoted to supplying top quality rhizomes of the world's finest Iris varieties. That we have succeeded to a gratifying degree is shown by our large number of repeat orders, some from customers who have been with us for more than a quarter of a century. We hope we may continue to deserve your patronage. The sharing of the pleasure of Iris growing with flower lovers everywhere and the appreciative letters received have been a major portion of our reward. May the spring of 1958 bring a new crescendo of pleasure in your Iris growing! May many new adventures in beauty await you in the years to come!
