COVER: This cover features the 1990 Introduction Night Ruler. The catalog covers from the 1990s and beyond are unique in that no one catalog over is the same. Each have their own color scheme based on the featured iris of that year.

ABOUT: Perhaps the biggest change in this year's catalog is that their company logo has undergone a revamp. The font is much more thicker and is somewhat arched. This year's catalog replaces the Sans-serif fonts with the Serif-type font (with the feet).

GREETING: This 1990 catalog marks our sixty-fifth anniversary of producing Iris that have brought joy to customers around the world. The Schreiner family's love of Iris began with F.X. Schreiner in St. Paul, Minnesota. His children Robert, Connie and Bernard made his hobby into our livelihood, a company specializing in quality Iris. We are now in our third generation of offering the world's finest Iris hybrids. We dedicate this anniversary issue to the memory of Bernard and Connie.
     We are honored to carry on the Schreiner reputation for quality. Ours are the best you can buy. Before any seedling is selected for introduction under the Schreiner name it must undergo five to seven years of testing and evaluation. It must prove its hardiness and ability to perform under diverse weather and geographic conditions. Also it must have that special appeal...that elan that makes it a flower unique in beauty. We were delighted to learn last May that that the international judges at the Iris Trials in Florence, Italy recognized this superior quality. Schreiner's Iris swept four of the top five awards including the coveted "1st Premio" for Dusky Challenger. In addition we received numerous "special awards" and the Region of Tuscany Cup for best hybridizer. It is rewarding to see that the superior appeal of our Iris stands distinctly forth.
