GREETING: I'm delighted to send you our 1995 Iris Lover's Catalog...our 70th Anniversary issue. We've worked hard to make it a complete guidebook of garen dreams. As we enter this landmark year, we're proud to dedicate this catalog to F.X. Schreiner. He published his first Iris price list in 1925 and found himself "on the way towards realizing one of life's lessons...working with nature's beauty garden." His lifelong interest in Iris was passed on to his children and grandchildren. Seventy years later Schreiner's Gardens remains in the same family.
     Today we're Americas's headquarters for quality Bearded Iris. We were thrilled to learn last summer that that our hybrid, Silverado, had wond the Dykes Medal, the highest award an Iris can achieve. Perhaps P.R. Menard, Honorable Secretary of the British Iris Society said it best, "...now the total is seven Dykes medals won by Schreiner's, an incredible record...when one considers the number of competent rivals...In Europe, we know that if it is a Schreiner's it will grow well here..."
