     This year 2000 was a very special one for us. Not only was it our Diamond Anniversary but it was alos the end of an era. It was during this millennial year that we lost the last of the generation we call the "founders." They took their father's hobby and turned it into a viable business, which they carried through a depression, a war and ultimately moved here, to Oregon's fertile Willamette Valley. Finally they handed it on to us, their children. We dedicate this 2001 catalog then to Connie, Gus and Bob Schreiner.
     So the torch is passed to a new generation. Our goal, like theirs, is not only the constant improvement of Iris but also customer satisfaction. We hope to live up to the high standards they have set for us. To paraphrase an old saying. "You are only as tall as the shoulders of the person upon whom you are standing."
