INTERESTING INFO:
From the 1986 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: A surprise! This rich broadly petaled two-toned blue Iris is a European import par excellence. Standards are a light pale blue with the extra broad falls - measuring a full 3½" across - are a deeper lilac shade of blue. Emblazoned on this combination is that red beard in the center of the flower. This light within brings the flower alive with dramatic flair. Mr. Cayeux is aiming at a red-white and blue Iris..."the tricolor of France!" What a step forward!
