INTERESTING INFO: From the 1961 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: The most exotic development in Iris breeding in recent years has been the crinkled strain. In Crinkled Beauty we have the highest development of this lacy, frothy effect. The color is a pure soft orchid-pink overlain with a silvery sheen. This Iris is almost a self except for a slightly pinker cast on the falls and a contrasting golden beard. Crinkled Beauty is fully three times as large as Chantilly, its prototype, with falls of unprecedented width for a crinkled Iris and with much improved branching. We recommend Crinkled Beauty as the cynosure and conversation sparker of any connosisseur's garden.
