ORIGINATOR: Schreiner INTRODUCED: 1959 CLASS: Tall Bearded HEIGHT: 36" BLOOM SEASON: Early to Mid DESCRIPTION: Golden ground, red markings. PARENTAGE: Parentage unknown AWARDS: None INTERESTING INFO: From its introductory 1959 Schreiner's Iris Catalog: We are introducing this as an improvement on Firecracker, whose brilliant color has given it prolonged popularity inspite of its rather small size and less than opulent form. Delhi is a very much broader, fuller Firecracker and of course is much larger and taller as well. For a scintillating color note in the clump we recommend this novel red plicata with golden suffusion as a worthy successor to Firecracker. $15.00 |
