INTERESTING INFO: From the Schreiner's 1957 Iris Lover's Catalog: Derived form Pacemaker x Orelio, this shapely, glowing crimson-red might be called a much improved Ranger, surpassing this old favorite in size, breadth of petal, and degree of redness. Fittingly named, Fire Brigade will glow with a ruddy incandescence in an Iris planting, its uniform coloring achieving in the clump an unusually strong not of massed redness. A beautiful, satisfying, and vigorous addition to our limited number of good reds.
