INTERESTING INFO:
William Mohr's interest in Iris dated from about 1910 and he produced many splendid varieties. He was very scientific in his methods and kept careful records. At his death in 1923, his plants and records went to Dr. Sidney Mitchell who had faithfully carried on his work. Sydney Mitchell was famous for naming his Irises after Californian cities or Spanish names.
