From the 1937 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: This variety represents the high point of iris development up to 1930 (at which time it sold for $20.00 per root). Even today it is an outstanding iris. The standards are bronzy-purple; the falls like red-brown plush. A noble and symmetrical flower.
