INTERESTING INFO: From 1963 Schreiner’s Iris Lovers Catalog: This is the bluest of the blue plicatas – an iris whose snowy ground is edged a delightful cerulean blue. Not as fancy an iris as Rococo but bluer. Newport won is spurs the year after the American Iris Society met in Oregon (1960), having been given a Highly Commended award by the AIS judges.
