From the 1975 Melrose Gardens Catalog: Pearl lustre satin, falls gilt edged, and as with satin, the color and texture are those associated with luxury and extravagance and very precious. You may see a faint flush of green in the color and sometimes the gilt edges sparkle. Full formed flowers with elegant fluting and strong, well branched stems with many buds assure you of its worth.
