INTERESTING INFO: From the 1979 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: One of the goals in working with the new blue Iris, has centered on the infusion of a pleasant ruffling to its flower form. ST. LOUIS BLUES is precisely such a happy amalgam. With almost rhythmical motion, this charmingly laced blue Iris, with its pert white center fluff by the beard, seems to pirouette before your eyes. This happy combination of blue and adroitly ruffled petals enhances its originality both in color and elegance. Not tall, it is ideal for placement in the forefront of an Iris bed, where the symmetry of form and detailed petal structure can be readily appreciated. Here we have another star to add to the handsome diadem of fine blue Iris.
