INTERSTING INFO: From the 1954 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: Tabu is unmatched by any other dark Iris. It excels in color saturation and uniformity as well as finish. Virtually a perfect self. See the illustration above which is very faithful. Probably our favorite among the ebon blue-black Iris. A surpremely luxurious, velvety flower that you will be proud to have in your garden. Plenty large and plenty tall, the imposing flowers enhanced by silken overtones are as sleek as a mynah bird of jet-black plumage - a glossy, well preened, sumptuously exotic flower.
