From the 1981 Eden Road Iris Gardens Catalog: Royal purple with closed standards a little lighter than the widely flaring falls. The clean hafts are reddish brown. Beard is mustard tipped blue. 3 branches and terminal. Unusual strong, upright foliage. Pronounced Ten-nine-oh. Fertile both ways.
