INTERESTING INFO:
From the 1985 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: King of the reds! One of our premier creations for sheer intensity of coloration. A powerouse, here is a magnificent dark red Iris admired by all who have seen it in our seedling trials. Of noble proportions, the full 6 X 4 inch flowers are formed with an airy flair. The deep glossy red coloring is non-fading and has a velvet-like sheen. Stiff rigid stems, three branches with 8 to 9 buds per stem. The finest deep red we have succeeded in hybridizing in a number of years. Color fit for a king.
